Think about wiring for a light, so that the Aga/range is lit from within the 'chimney'. Some folk with Rayburns made a tiled area level with the cooking surface, so that a pot could be slid sideways onto it. Eventually got cracking and made steady progress over the last month or so, glad it's now complete! Had enough of diy, this was the last room in the house since we moved in 3 years ago!
