WebTurns out this monitor just can't display 16:9 resolutions at 240hz I guess. At 240hz the display settings will say 16:9 resolutions but they actually display at like 4:3 or somewhere between 4:3 and 16:9. I tested this using a ruler and a 16:9 wallpaper.
